Day 1: Colombo

Arrive in Colombo and transfer to your hotel.

Day 2: Colombo

Enjoy a guided morning tour of Colombo, visiting key sites including the Fort, Sea Street’s Goldsmith quarters, a Hindu Temple with intricate carvings, the Dutch Church of Wolfendhal, and Independence Square. The afternoon is yours to explore at leisure.

Day 3: Colombo – Minneriya – Dambulla

Drive to Dambulla with a stop at Minneriya National Park for a thrilling safari to witness one of the world’s largest wild elephant gatherings.

Day 4: Dambulla – Sigiriya – Dambulla

Take a day trip to Sigiriya, home to the famous 5th-century Fortress in the Sky, also known as Lion Rock. At its summit, you’ll find the foundations of an ancient palace and gardens.

Day 5: Dambulla – Anuradhapura – Dambulla

Today, venture to the ancient city of Anuradhapura, an extensive site filled with temples, reservoirs, and beautifully landscaped gardens that once served as the capital of Sri Lankan kings for over a thousand years.

Day 6: Dambulla – Polonnaruwa – Dambulla

Head to Polonnaruwa, home to impressive statues and remarkable frescoes. Highlights include the Lankatilaka, Tivanka, and Thuparama Image Houses, renowned for their Polonnaruwa-era artistry.

Day 7: Dambulla – Kandy

Travel to Kandy, with a stop to explore a Spice Garden in Matale. This evening, participate in a Sri Lankan cooking class with Shantha Mayadunne, a celebrated culinary artist with over 30 years of experience.

Day 8: Kandy

Enjoy a leisurely morning. In the afternoon, take a city tour including Upper Lake Drive, Market Square, the Arts & Crafts Centre, and the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic. Also, visit the Royal Botanical Gardens in Peradeniya, a former royal retreat.

Day 9: Kandy – Nuwara Eliya

Depart for Nuwara Eliya, known as “Little England” for its British-inspired architecture. Set amid beautiful mountains, valleys, waterfalls, and tea plantations, this region showcases Sri Lanka’s colonial influence.

Day 10: Nuwara Eliya

Take a sightseeing tour of Nuwara Eliya. Witness the traditional tea-plucking process and savor a cup of “Ceylon Tea” in this picturesque highland region.

Day 11: Nuwara Eliya – Ella – Yala

Board a scenic train ride to Ella. Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel in Yala, with the remainder of the day at your leisure.

Day 12: Yala

Embark on a morning safari at Yala National Park, famous for diverse wildlife including elephants, leopards, wild buffalo, and more. Enjoy a second safari in the afternoon, capturing the park’s enchanting sunset scenes.

Day 13: Yala – Galle

Travel to the coastal city of Galle and spend the afternoon exploring the UNESCO-listed Galle Dutch Fort, once the country’s most significant port.

Day 14: Galle

Day 15: Galle – Mt. Lavinia
